Omodos

It is a small village in the center of the island, in a beautiful setting of pine forests and vineyards. The Church and Monastery of the Holy Cross are stationed in the middle of the village. This beautiful Orthodox church contains a piece of the rope that tied Christ to the cross, and a small sliver of the Holy Cross itself. In the surrounding area there are lots of wineries where you can try the fine wines they produce on the island, try the Moscato. You will also find variety of shops with all kinds of souvenirs, from almonds to candies.
