Grand Theater
The Great Theatre of Ephesus is located at the confluence of Marble Avenue, with Arcadino Avenue. It is the largest theater of antiquity, which still exists holding 24,000 spectators. It was this large to impress people arriving from the port as it was the first building they saw when arriving in Ephesus. The theater was started in the III century BC but not completed until the second century AD, so we will observe different architectural styles, the stands supported on Mount Pion are Hellenistic, whereas the vaults are Roman .
