High quality, home cooking in Porto
This restaurant, near the port area of Porto, offers Portuguese cuisine. It's easily reached, down the stairs from the square where the cathedral stands. It's always crowded, due to its great location and good food. In our case, we found it after an afternoon walk through the old city, and we were happy to enjoy Portuguese dishes accompanied by the warm and friendly service from the owner. I can wholeheartedly recommend the baked cod and halibut. Among the desserts, highlights include orange and almond cake. We had some good port wine to finish, and the owner chatted with us about some hidden spots in the city that are worth visiting.
