The town of Riogordo is located near the Montes de Malaga Natural Park, in the region of Axarquia. Riogordo has become famous throughout Spain for hosting one of the country's most unique celebrations which brings together thousands of tourists and locals every year: the famous Paso Riogordo, which represents a live Passion of the Christ during Holy Week.
