Nozyk Synagogue
With a Jewish population which numbered around 380,000, Warsaw was a city rich in synagogues before the Second World War. After the Germans invaded Poland and launched the extermination, synagogues along with many other places were destroyed by the bombings of the city. The Nozyk Synagogue was lucky to be the only synagogue in Warsaw that survived the war, and still continues to offer religious services.
