Church of Binic
Binic church was called Notre Dame du Bon Voyage. It is dedicated to the virgin who protects sailors when they leave town for months a a time in order to test their hand at sea. It was constructed in place of the old chapel of Saint Julien in 1821. Binic is still a fishing village, and the church is next to the port. The church was built in the second half of the nineteenth century, after the first attempt failed. The first church was probably too small. The nave and chancel were built in 1860, and the steeple with the facade in 1895. The church was successfully completed in 1929. Because the place was too narrow, the three naves of the church are oriented to the east.
