Norcia
Norcia is a charming little village in the province of Perugia, in the geographic center of Italy. The landscape of its surroundings is spectacular, because although the town of Norcia is on a plain, it is surrounded by mountains and is an ideal place for hiking and climbing. The old part of Norcia is surrounded by walls, which have remained standing over time despite the many earthquakes that have struck the most important monument zone. Here is found the Basilica of San Benedetto, dating from the thirteenth century and with it also is the Palazzo Comunale, a building that dates back to the fourteenth century, although that also had to be restored because of the damage caused by multiple earthquakes.
