Nikko Botanical Garden

Decidí perderme un poco por la parte baja del Parque Nacional de Nikko, ya que no era el mejor día para adentrarme en los bosques de las montañas porque había unas nubes que aquello parecía Mordor... vaya, que no pintaba muy bien. Cuando volví a la ciudad, me encontré el Jardín Botánico y como me encantan me decidí a entrar. Forma parte de la universidad de Tokyo y no es un jardín botánico con plantas espectaculares o exóticas, sino que es más bien un sitio donde conocer mejor la flora autóctona y muy fusionada con el parque nacional. Sin embargo y pese a que no es muy llamativo alberga nada menos que 2200 especies diferentes. Quizá lo más espectacular del Jardín botánico es ver desde el otro lado la maravilla del [poi=411411]Abismo de Kanmangafuchi[/poi] desde un pequeño mirador. Ya había estado por la zona en Invierno pero en verano era muy diferente con todo verde aunque en invierno también era espectacular, aunque en Japón todas las estaciones del año son especiales, cuando no es el florecer del almendro son los colores del otoño. No había nadie dentro así que lo tuve para mi sola y era una gozada pasear por él, hasta que me tuve que ir porque empezar a sonar unas sirenas por toda la ciudad que no sabía que significaban y me dio miedo que fuera un terremoto gordo así que me marché. Poco después vino una lluvia torrencial y un viento muy fuerte que hizo que me tuviera que refugiar en una tienda durante más de una hora. Recomendable más que por jardín botánico, por las vistas bonitas y el paseo.
