A colourful entrance to the subway
On the way to the Louvre we were surprised to find, in the middle of the square Colette, located right next to the Museum, a striking building in the middle so what was it? Why was that there? We began to wonder. As we approached the colourful building we saw that was the entrance to a subway station! After taking photos we wanted more information. It was done to celebrate, in 2000, the centenary of the Paris Metro, the colored balls are made of Murano glass, ( Murano Island in Venice), and represents one of the domes at night and one day. The metro stop is Palais Royal - Musée du Louvre
