Well located
The Hotel Catalonia Excelsior is located on Paseo del Puerto, an enclave in the city, a 30 minute walk from the beach, downtown or the universities and just a 10 minute walk from The Arts and Sciences complex.
The rooms are quite nice, although it could do with more natural light. The service is also quite good and the staffs are friendly.
The downside is the Internet, where instead of being a service for the customer it is more of a business. 17 euros a day or 88 Euros for a week are the fees offered to customers to get access to the wireless service from the hotel.
