Metropolitan Museum of Art

The second floor of the Metropolitan Museum of Art (MET) in Manhattan contains a collection of European paintings, one of the world's best collections. With 2200 pieces, this museum has many of the world's most recognizable paintings. The MET has a vested interest in European masters of the 16th to 19th centuries, specifically French, Italian, and Dutch masters. Among the paintings in the collection include works by Goya, Vermeer, Brueghel, Velazquez, Jean Louis David, Dick Van Eyck, among others. There are many rooms to visit, but the European painters collection should be among your top choices.

The Egyptian temple is a masterpiece. Also the paintings are marvellous. I’ve been there twice and it’s always beautiful.

Sadly they change if you're not a resident of NYC. This was a hidden gem because people always thought they had to pay to enter.
