Good hotels and restaurants, and folk festivals in the summer
It is perfect to start visits in Tyrol. The Stubai glacier, lifts, trails, perfect landscapes, close to Innsbruck. Krimml Waterfalls, serlesbanhen. Nearly 3 km in rail, fun for children and seniors, parks to enjoy with kids, shilk2000, minigolf in Innsbruck, Swarovski, and if you want you can pay to see a small museum, with shopping at the end. It is just 2 hours from Munich, and Italy. There are also silver mines in Schwatz. YOu can go inside the mine with miners´ carriage rails and they teach you how they worked through projections inside the mine, fun for everybody, and the trip in the cart is quite exciting.
There is a wide variety of hotels with breakfast, dinner, spa, children's zones, playstation, Ping pong, football, etc.. We, a family with a child, stayed at the hotel in Neustift Bergcristall. It was a 4 star hotel with a very nice staff that was quite helpful. They have rooms, suites and apartments, we were in the latter, which was more convenient, cheaper and independent. They had a good breakfast, though a bit monotonous for our taste, but you can always go to the heart of town, 5 minutes by car to the main square where there are many restaurants. I would highlight the restaurant DORFRAU, with incredible burgers, and coffee Anny has pizzas, pasta and traditional food. The others are not bad. In the first the staff was very friendly, attentive, and helpful, and it is a pub as well. In summer they have many folk festivals, and markets. For us it was a great summer as well, we were very lucky.
