Navajas

It’s a pretty town located between two natural parks, the Sierra Calderona and the Espadan. Many travelers visit to see the beautiful landscapes and enjoy the fresh climate. The town was founded by Zayd Ab Zayd, the last emperor of Valencia’s Almohad Caliphate.

In 1238, it was reconquered by king Jaime I the conquistor, who then ceded the territory to the bishop of Segorbe. After passing through the hands of various owners, the territory came to under control of Count Cirat. The last feudal senor was the Marque of Dos Aguas.
