Land Sailing
A nice big beach like this makes you eager to have fun! You can relax and enjoy the excitement. There is something for everyone. I personally discovered the pleasures of the sea, enjoyed kayaking and kite-surfing. It's towards the nautical base of Saint-Jean-de-Monts. It's easy to find, about 10 minutes drive from the city centre on Avenue de l'Estacade, leading to the Grande Plage. There are courses, or you can rent a boat, attend open sessions or practice. It's a nautical base where anyone over 8 years can swim. In addition to ocean activities, there are also things to do on the 15 kilometre long beach! You can try land sailing, a city specialty.
And between courses, you can stop at the nautical base bar, open from April to September, for refreshments on the terrace while watching the sea. What caught my attention were the catamaran or trimaran excursions to the Ile d'Yeu and Noirmoutier or the coast, with a duration of between 2 and 6 hours.
