A walk through the animal world.
The Museum of Natural History (Musee Naturhistoriska) is one of the oldest museums in Gothenburg. From its inauguration in 1833, until today, it has been renovated several times, making it very attractive to the public. It is divided over three floors, and you can see a great variety of mammals, amphibians, invertebrates and reptiles from all over the world. You can see interesting workshops in the laboratory on the history of the human body, the lives of whales, and marine life. The most popular animals are the biggest: the whale and the African elephant. There's a cafe and a small gift shop inside.
