Croatian National Theatre

Non si può rimanere indifferenti di fronte all'edificio che ospita il Teatro Nazionale Croato. Si staglia in mezzo alla bellissima [poi=183951]Piazza Tito[/poi], su un curato manto erboso, costruito secondo il progetto di due architetti viennesi specializzati nella costruzione di teatri. Inaugurato il 14 ottobre nel 1895 alla presenza dell'imperatore Francesco Giuseppe, presenta una facciata grandiosa e oggi è uno tra i più importanti palcoscenici dl centro Europa, su cui si alternano spettacoli di pros, lirica, balletto, concerti di artisti di fama internazionale.

Lower Town Zagreb has an Austro-Hungarian architectural influences. The most beautiful building in the lower town is surely the National Theatre, on the place of Marshal Tito. This theater was built in 1895 by the famous Viennese architects Ferdinand Fellner and Hermann Helmer. The theater now hosts both the opera, ballet and theater combines classic international, national works and modern creation.
