National Space Centre

In the center of England, in a secluded area apart from the city (in fact it can be more easily accessed by motorway A6), you will find this curious center that mixes a museum concept with theme park. You can learn all about the history of space in the UK and major historical components and see actual remains of rockets and other similar devices. There are various simulators too. In the central dome there´s a real-life size replica of Columbia which was quite impressive. The visit also includes the planetarium which is where you can review the little that is known about the Universe through real images (sometimes in real time) from a telescope.
