National Park

Pelister National Park is located around Baba Mountain, the third highest mountain in the country. Only 15 kilometers from Bitola, it´s a beautiful city that can serve as a home-base and a place to leaved your large backpack while you spend a few days exploring this beautiful park. To reach Bitola there are trains and buses from Skopje, and a couple a day that go to Ohrid, another tourist destination that´s worth visiting. The park is the perfect place to go and get away from the city. It is a very green park with unique geological formations. The main mountain is granite and is more than 465 million years old.

The highest peaks measure 2000 meters and are covered with snow during the winter. The tourist information office in Bitola can help you plan your trip.
