National Archaeological Museum

The National Archaeological Museum (Crotone) was recently restored and has been located since 1969 in a house on the Via Risorgimento in the historic center. For the amount of material on display and for its historical and artistic value, the museum is one of the most important in Crotone, Calabria. The exhibits are displayed in chronological order from prehistoric phase which presents firearms, a human skull and tools for agricultura. The Iron Age display has funerary objects and there is a section devoted to the production presenting vases, Greek vases and amphorae.
