Chora

Chora (Mykonos Town) is the largest town of the island of Mykonos, that world famous Greek island. It is the most cosmopolitan island of Greece and attracts thousands of visitors from around the world. Access to the island are obtained from Athens by ferry, which runs three times a day, or by plane. Also if you take a cruise around the islands the cruise ship will most certainly dock at Mykonos. You can start exploring at the port and walk the waterfront where you will find small boats, especially fishing boats, where you will see many octopi hanging on the masts. Still walking down the small bay full of small bars and restaurants, make sure to take a picture with Petrus, the famous pelican, totally friendly to visitors.

Continuing along the coast to Alefkandra, a charming corner of the Hora, also known as the Venice of Mykonos, with its houses built on the sea, with wooden balconies reminiscent of Venice. These houses were built in the mid-eighteenth century and were home to wealthy merchants. If you keep walking among winding narrow streets, you will find small businesses of all kinds, like jewelry stores and stores offering typical clothes. Admire the many small churches you will encounter, all white washed and built in the architecture of the area. Also spend time at some typical Greek mills and enjoy a refreshing drink in the shade of a little bar. It is a great ride, do not miss it.

Mikonos Island

This beautiful island, on which you could spend hours getting lost on a relaxing and quiet stroll around its beautiful and quiet streets, or chattering with its open and friendly people. In the photos you can see the breaking waves with a wonderful background, what they call "Little Venice".

Mykonos

The small Greek town of Mykonos is the ideal place to get lost in the tranquility of its white streets, painted white facades and its great beaches with crystal clear waters.

The Great Greek Adventure
