Anaconda-Pintlar lake
There are actually just a few lakes on the south side of the Anaconda-Pintlar Mountains. Mussigbrod is about one mile long and fills a low valley as the country transitions from rolling hills to big mountains. The road ends here and trails take over, and the wilderness boundary is not far beyond. The lake's best feature is a beautiful coarse white sand beach at the south end, easily accessible from the trailhead. The main trail skirts the east end of the lake before heading north into the mountains. According to a ranger, the lake is named after a local family and pronounced "Muse-ig-broad". No
