Museum of the Radio
This museum is located opposite the Temple Castle, in the "House of the Shields" . This building gets its name because of the numerous coats of arms and weapons that can be seen on the facade. The museum has two floors and 4 rooms, where you can see various objects related to the history of radio (microphones, old radios, receivers ...) as well as posters and photographs. There are also listening rooms, radio workshop, library on the subject, shop, etc.. The strange thing about the museum is that the developer is Luis del Olmo, and there is a room that is completely dedicated to him, and another to his radio show "Players".
To me it is an interesting museum, other than the collection of old radios. There are other interesting things to see in Ponferrada, including the Castle, or the Museum of Bierzo. The regular ticket costs € 2.80, and € 1 for children under 18 years. It is open From October to April-11-14h and 16-19h-May to September: 11-14h and 17-20.30h, Don't come on a Monday because it will be closed. -Sunday and holidays: 11-14h. Free admission on those days.
