Museu Municipal de Peniche

The Peniche City Museum is located inside the Peniche Fortress. Admission is just 1.50€ , so it is definitely worth a visit. It has three floors that take you through the history of this fishing town. On the first and second floors, you will find a collection of prehistoric, underwater architecture, ancient fishing tools and exposure Paulino Montes architect. The third floor is especially interesting. Here, you can visit the old prison cells, which were where they held political prisoners of the anti-fascist resistance.
