Museum of the Cham Kingdom

Architects Delaval and Auclair started construction in 1915 during the French colonization and the museum finally opened in 1936. The museum was extended as new discoveries were made. There are four main rooms. At first there were over 300 pieces on display dating from the seventh century to the fifteenth century and Even thought they lost various pieces in the the 80s there are still many statues of great quality. The "cham" constituted a kingdom that settled in central and southern Vietnam. The "Vietnamese" were settled in the north and were gradually gaining terrain to drive out the "chan" in 1832.
