Religious art from the 17, 18, 19th centuries
The Convent Cell Museum of San Francisco Solado, was inaugurated on July 24, 1969 in a cloister that is next to the Convent. It holds the religious art from the XVII, XVIII and XIX centuries. It was donated by the First Religious Argentine Art Museum, named Casa de Belen. From July 24, 1970 a part of the skull of SAN FRANCISCO SOLANO was sent here and was worshipped here. He died at the Convent of Jesus Peruvian city of Lima, where he was sent. They are of immense value all POLYCHROME WOOD IMAGING in this museum displays. It is a milestone in your walk knowing Santiago del Estero.
