Museum of Costa Rican Art
The museum was opened on May 3, 1978 in an old terminal of the Savannah International Airport. It has a collection of over 2500 works of artists and is dedicated to the preservation, dissemination and encouragement of art. Here is also where research and restoration works are done. It is responsible for acquiring new works with public funds, which isn´t an easy thing to do.
