Museum Civico Antiquarium Platina
The Civic Museum antiquarium deck is dedicated to Bartolomeo Sacchi, known as "Platina " a Renaissance humanist born in Piadena in 1421. A rebellious character, Platina was the guardian of the Ludovico Gonzaga children and went to Florence in 1457, where he met the Medici family. In 1462 he moved to Rome, where he became secretary to Cardinal Francesco Gonzaga. Here at this museum, you can learn all about his history.
