Sighet Prison Memorial

The Sighet Museum is one of those special places that helps you learn from the world´s modern history. Like the S21 in Cambodia, it is a museum that reveals the horrors of the repression of Communism over people. The museum is an old prison and its three floors and garden are a spectacular museum where you can spend at least two hours. Sighet Prison was where many intellectuals and citizens of Romania were interrogated, imprisoned and killed. A really amazing and thrilling museum. At the bottom you can see the faces of thousands of Romanian citizens, on the other floors there is a sample of life and repression in those days under the Communist yoke.
