Lusto Museum
The museum Lusto is the largest forest in the world, and is located relatively close Punkaharju Art Museum Retretti. I had the pleasure of visiting this museum twice, once in the summer with a scholarship from the official language school to learn Finnish and a winter with Mikkeli University, foresters took us to see this museum. The Museum has a circular structure resembling the trunk of a tree, hence the name Lusto is the Finnish word to describe an annual ring in a tree. The museum has many machines, ancient and modern, and seeks to explain the evolution of forest culture in this country, Finland, with a forest industry so powerful.
There is a room called "The room of silence" in which you can experience the peace and tranquility of nature in Finland both acoustically and visually, it may seem a bit ridiculous considering that you go to any Finnish lake and experience the same peace and tranquility. At least they put some mammals and birds in. Take a look at the area around the museum as well, as it is quite nice. To entre, adults pay 10 euros, and students pay seven euros. Admission is 10 euros for adults and 7 euros for students and is open from 1 am to 17. Keep in mind the extra hours during the summer months, when it stays open later, until 19h.
