One of the most beautiful museums

Excellent

Many Europeans criticize the US, saying that Americans are arrogant and the food is just fatty and disgusting. Well, I sometimes feel like they've been to a different country than the one I visited, as we ate well, found amazing places, and met a lot of very friendly people! Here in Los Angeles, where most people come in search of glamour and trendy nightlife, we found one of the most beautiful museums in the world: the Getty Center. We arrived at the palatial property in the hills of Santa Monica, and embarked on a scenic train ride complete with incredible views, to the top. The museum's architecture is modern, well-lit, spacious and open, and the fascinating garden with mazes of trees, exotic flowers, views of the entire city and the Hollywood sign, is spectacular.

A large art museum

We paid for parking at the edge of the highway and walked up the hill to the museum, which is free to enter. On this hill in Brentwood, architect Richard Meier has created beautiful white buildings, and you have lovely panoramic views of the gardens of Los Angeles. The John Paul Getty Foundation manages the assets of the oil billionaire, and in the Getty Center, you can see works by the Old Masters, European painters like Lorrain, Manet, and Van Gogh. What a pleasure to find a large art museum like this on American soil!
