Museo Diocesano di Ostuni

El Museo Diocesano de Ostuni se encuentra en la planta baja del antiguo Palazzo dell'Episcopio. Inaugurado en julio de 2017, el museo fue diseñado para albergar obras de arte del Tesoro del Capítulo de la Concattedrale, la Colección Arqueológica y piezas de las iglesias locales y monasterios de monjas benedictinas y carmelitas. El museo está dividido en seis secciones, se abre con los hallazgos arqueológicos de la era Messapia, que datan de los siglos V y III a. C.,hasta llegar a obras de arte contemporáneo, como esa curiosa instalación que encontré nada más cruzar la puerta. The Ostuni Diocesan Museum is located on the ground floor of the former Palazzo dell"Episcope. Inaugurated in July 2017, the museum was designed to house works of art from the Treasury of the Concattedrale Chapter, the Archaeological Collection and pieces from local churches and monasteries of Benedictine and Carmelite nuns. The museum is divided into six sections, opens with the archaeological finds of the Messapia era, dating from the fifth and third centuries BC. C., until arriving at works of contemporary art, like that curious installation that I found as soon as I crossed the door.
