Azerbaijan State Museum of Art

Durante mi viaje a Irán, la primera ciudad que visité fue Tabriz. Allí comencé a conocer un poco mejor la cultura persa. Tabriz está al noroeste del país limítrofe con Azerbayán, de echo la provincia es Azerbayán Oriental y entre otras cosas pude visitar el museo arqueológico de Azerbayán. Cuenta con tres grandes salas, en una de ellas puedes encontrar esculturas de bronce de Ahad Hosseini con 12 representaciones sobre la miseria humana en el mundo; en otra monedas y sellos, algunos acuñados antes de la era cristiana y también sobre la arqueología islámica, básicamente cerámica y en otra los restos más antiguos con los esqueletos de una mujer y un hombre, diosas y la piedra de mármol tallada Bism Allah en la planta baja. La mayoría de estos objetos han sido descubiertos durante excavaciones que se han llevado a cabo en la provincia. Posee la mayor colección de objetos de diferentes periodos de la historia de Irán. Visita obligada si vas a Tabriz, pero ten en cuenta que para los forasteros, tiene un precio de entrada, que para los iraníes es menor y para los locales, gratis. De todas formas fácilmente asumible por una economía occidental y lo digo yo, que no voy sobrado en mi viaje y por obligación tengo que evitar visitar lugares así.
