Formerly a bullring
In this square is Braga Municipal House, the Public Library and the District Archive of Braga, behind is the Wall, Bracarense Episcopal Palace and a lane to the Cathedral. This square was formerly used as a bullring and was modified in a project by André Soares, it has a fountain in the middle (known as the Fountain of the Pelican) by the sculptor Marceliano de Araújo.
