Municipal Palace - Cordici Museum

The City Hall, or Hall of Erice is located in the lively Plaza Umberto. Besides hosting the municipal offices, the building houses the Civic Museum and Library Cordici Carvini Vito. The museum displays many important archaeological remains of the acropolis of Erice: coins, terracotta. However, the most coveted piece is called Head of Aphrodite. This incredible piece is a small bust of Venus IV century BC. In the exhibit, also check out the collection of paintings and sculptures (among which marble sculpture group XVI century, The Annunciation, Antonello Gaginis) and manuscripts, incunabula and a collection of clothes.
