Market in Valdiva Port
This port is located along the boats. We were there on a very bad day in terms of weather, with constant rain and wind. Nonetheless, we had a wonderful time due to the colorful market along the Valdivia river. This market features everything from fresh fish boats, indigenous crafts that descend from the surrounding villages to sell fruit, Chilean food, etc. The strongest thing about it is the different positions on the ground, that are supported by riding the fence into the river. You can look out to see the sea lions, that wait there fore the remains of the fish to be thrown out. For them the sea is normal, but we flipamos course.
That day we wanted to take a boat to go to Fort Niebla was on an island nearby, but all fishermen told us we were crazy, that nobody was going to cross over time that he did, and he had to leave the river and across a piece where the river was coupled with the sea. Eventually got up in a sort of boat-bus, for people living in Fog. What experience, the boat was going from side to side, the water we passed over the boat, and when we got to the pier over Fog, why we could not go down there was danger that the boat collided with the harbor wall, so they let us go elsewhere, and no prospect of finding ship Valdivia again. In the end, we ended up spending the night in pure fog. But that is a story I will have to save for another time...
