Municipal Cultural Center

Bragança Municipal Cultural Center is in a former XVI century convent that was later the Cathedral, until the diocese was transferred to Miranda. It's a big building with two entrances, one is in Praça Camões and the other is in Praça da Sé (old). It houses the Municipal Library and Adriano Moreira, temporary exhibition halls, conference rooms, etc. There's a permanent exhibition entitled "Memoria da Cidade" which explains the city's history and has a scale model of it. On the back of the building there are archaeological excavations that are remnants of an eighteenth century cathedral.
