Architecture and urban history
The Municipal Art Society of New York, founded in 1893, is a nonprofit organization that fights for intelligent urban planning, design and preservation through education, dialogue and advocacy in New York. The ground floor of its historical Madison Avenue headquarters is open to the public, and includes a gallery with rotating temporary exhibitions. The Urban Design Center is located in the hallway. Here you'll find a large collection of books with material all about architectural and urban history.
