Great tea and cakes
Since Birchington is a rather small town, it can be hard to find a nice place to enjoy a proper tea with cakes. We had some difficulties at first, but we ended up finding Mulberry Tea Rooms on Station Road near the Square. The tea is delicious and the cakes are all homemade and to die for (and, at 3 pound each, they're a steal). At lunchtime, you can also find homemade food like ham and cheese sandwiches with chips or baked potatoes. All in all, a nice, cozy place for afternoon tea.
