Mue Koh

No diga Mue Koh, diga paraíso. Esa es la palabra que mejor define la segunda isla más grande del Parque Marítimo Nacional de Ang Thong. Situada en mitad del archipiélago que conforma el parque, Mue Koh es parada obligatoria para todas las excursiones que hacen escala en este bello paraje natural casi equidistante de Koh Phangan y Koh Samui. Mue Koh (que también puede escribirse sin h, al revés, solo Mu en vez de Mue, etc.) es una isla paradisíaca de manual. Casi desierta, con palmeras con cocos, y aguas cristalinas. Su playa de finísima arena es para quedarse a dormir allí (de hecho dicen que se puede acampar si se pide permiso, yo no lo probé, ¡me quedé con las ganas!). En ella puedes hacer varias cosas. Una es subir a su mirador más alto (desde la playa) en una rutita de 30 minutos para ver buena parte del archipiélago. Otra es visitar la cueva de Bua Boke, una curiosa gruta a unos 15 minutos del arenal. La otra es quedarte tirado al sol cual lagartija en Zamora. Cualquier opción es buena y combinable con el resto (aunque normalmente durante las excursiones te hacen elegir, no da tiempo a subir al mirador y ver la cueva, aunque si a ver la cueva y darse un chapuzón).
