Adventure To Anywhere
A Relentless but Rewarding Hike
Early on a Sunday morning in May, I participated in a group hike up Mount Lady Macdonald in Canmore, AB. The trailhead can be accessed from the Cougar Creek parking lot. The hike itself is a steady climb for 3km - wear very good running shoes or hiking shoes / boots if you have them. There are several rewarding viewpoints all along the way. We hiked to the first summit only - which is a massive wooden Helicopter Landing Pad. It's a great place to relax, have a snack, and take in the spectacular view that you have earned. The entire round trip took us about 4.5 hours. Bring LOTS of water and hike in a group if possible.
Well worth your time!
