Mount Isa

On the travel from Gold Coast to Darwn trough the desert, we found this little piece of heaven. We found it at just the ight time of day, with perfect light for my camera.

Few cities in the desert are as welcoming as Mount Isa: originally a mining town (with a large percentage of jobs in the industry), which was transformed during one of the main stages of change in the country, and which offers all the advantages of large cities (many shops, with prices below those of smaller establishments), and a well-deserved comfort for the traveller, after several days of camping forced on us by driving in extreme conditions.
