Motovun
Motovun is a small town located in the centre of the region of Istria, northern Croatia. Istria is said to be the new Tuscany. A place with beautiful villages full of history and beautiful buildings, delicious food, and above all, a sea with a temperature of 25 degrees. Motovun is a 45 minute drive from the town of Porec. With just 500 inhabitants for which a great many Italian is still their first language. The village lies on a hill 300 meters high, and dominates the region, offering nice views of the surrounding meadows. It is a typical example of Venetian colonial architecture. The entrance to the city dates back to the fifteenth century, and on the building walls, you can see the coat of arms of Venetian families that have lead Motovun over the centuries.
