Morecambe
The town of Morecambe, close to Lancaster and a little less than an hour from Manchester, is a beautiful location on the west coast of England, near the sea, with views of the Bay that bears its name (Morecambe Bay). With a population of just under 50,000, this attractive village location is a holiday destination, but in a very different way to that of Blackpool (called the "British Las Vegas"), to enjoy long walks by the sea and enjoy good, fresh fish. In ancient times, Morecambe comprised an area of three villages (Bare, Poulton-le-Sands and Torrisholme) and received its current name in the late nineteenth century.
