Thousands of roses
The amphitheatre is nestled in a residential neighbourhood in Oakland, California, near the border with Piedmont. It was built in 1932 as a Works Progress Administration project. It was named in honour of the mayor of Oakland, Fred N. Morcom. Outside, there are thousands of roses and a garden with paths, a pond and a cascading fountain. The garden is available for weddings accommodating up to 200 people.
