Monument to the Fallen
Some time ago, in a corner of Stirling, someone mentioned the importance of paying tribute throughout Britain to the fallen of the two World Wars (World War I & World War II). The monument in Stirling is pretty generic, however the village of Killin has a quite specific monument that pays tribute to the locals who died, although much less numerous than in Stirling. We found the monument represented the traditional Scottish soldier with his "kilt" (or skirt), leaving no doubt to whom this memorial is in honour of. The statue is visible from many locations since it is next to the Falls, one of the town's biggest draws.
