Memorial for a fighter of anti-slavery
In the heart of the garden is the principle facade of the former courthouse (now a cultural center) is a monument dedicated to Victor Schoelcher, responsible for the abolition of slavery in the Caribbean, and fighter for the cause of culture being for everyone. The monument is a statue, carved in stone and on a pedestal, ve appears accompanied by a young slave on the road to freedom.
