John Martin, de Conyedo et Rodriguez ( San Juan de los Remedios) aussi connu comme le Père Conyedo était un prêtre et humaniste cubain qui eut une influence significative dans la fondation de la ville de Santa Clara. Dans la douleur, le père Conyedo a été proclamée "père spirituel de la république de Cuba. Le monument a la forme d'un obélisque ce qui prouve l'importance de cet homme dans la mémoire collective des cubains. Le monument est situé au point zéro de la ville de Santa clara au centre de la ville dans la parc Vidal.
John Martin of Conyedo and Rodriguez (San Juan de los Remedios) also known as the Father was a priest and Conyedo Cuban humanist who had a significant influence in the founding of the city of Santa Clara. In pain, the father Conyedo was proclaimed "spiritual father of the Republic of Cuba. The monument takes the form of an obelisk which proves the importance of this man in the collective memory of Cubans. The monument is located at the point zero of the city of Santa Clara in the center of the city in the Vidal Park.
