La Poutine: un plato típico de la gastronomía de Quebec, si bien no es mucha ciencia pues es un platillo a base de papas fritas, queso gouda derretido y una salsa -que nunca supe que madre era- y miel de maple, es una de las cosas más ricas que comí. FACT: el costo variaba dependiente del restaurant o bar, el promedio por este platillo es de $11CAD. - Parc Jean-Drapeau: una isla hecha parque en medio del Río San Lorenzo, tiene una de las mejores vistas al downtown de Montreal, así como la famosa estructura Biosphère. El lugar es host de diversos festivales durante el verano. El acceso es muy sencillo mediante el metro haciendo conexión con Berrie-UQAM. - ÎLESONIQ Music Festival: la organización, el lugar, el line up y la gente hacen que este festival sea una maravilla. FACT: el costo por visitar el museo, las capillas y la catedral es de $5CAD. Ville de Montreal: es algo parecido al centro histórico de la CDMX, aquí se encuentra el palacio del Ayuntamiento y una zona de bares y restaurantes de diversas latitudes como Portugal, Francia, Italia, China, India. El lugar está siempre lleno pues es punto de reunión donde comienzan la mayoría de los tours en la ciudad. - Crêpe du Creme Foutté - Jardin Nelson: siempre pensé que las crepas de La Crêpe Parisienne en CDMX eran lo máximo, totalmente equivocado. En este lugar -de acuerdo con Tripadvisor y gente local- se venden las mejores crepas de crema de cabra batida, hasta ahora es la mejor crepa de mi pinche vida. FACT: existen dos tipos de crepas, las que llevan algún complemento de fruta o crema o dulces, el costo es de $13CAD por la de frutas y $14.50CAD por las de dulce. - Vieux Port Montreal: este espacio tiene un parecido al malecón y portales de Veracruz sólo que en un modo francés y de primer mundo. Aquí se conglomeran más cafés, restaurantes y bares, la vida nocturna es increíble y se puede escuchar muy buen jazz con bandas en vivo. Durante el día abundan artistas callejeros, pintores, músicos y una gran variedad de puestos de cosas vintage. - Modern Art à Montreal: uno de los motivos por los que viaje a Montreal es porque la ciudad posee una gran cantidad de arte moderno distribuida en muchas galerías y museos. La tendencia actual es la retórica de la escultura, relieves y un “back to life” del Pop Art. La mayoría de las galerías son gratuitas y las reseñas de las obras se encuentran totalmente en inglés y francés. Aquí se realizan todos los fines de semana actividades culturales de manera gratuita. El día que visité el espacio había un recital de piano, el lugar es encantador para pasar todo un día descansando. - Belvédère: el mirador creo yo más famoso de la ciudad.
