First thing in the morning on the beach in Montjoly, French Guiana. Ana stumbled upon a straggler, belly up, dying of dehydration. We thought that he was dead but, as it happens, he turned around, with his index finger pointed up. "If he is still alive, perhaps he will die a less painful death." Life, thankfully once again surprised us: With his legs on dry land without missing a beat he began to run, panting, running his last energies, to the immense Atlantic. A simple gesture can mean to live!
