Egyptian obelisk
The Chamber of Deputies is in this famous square in Rome, Piazza Montcitorio. The building built by Bernini 1653-1655 is only a facade, in the early twentieth century the architect Basile enabled inside and the back of the seat of Parliament. But what catches the attention of the square is undoubtedly its obelisk. It's an Egyptian obelisk of Psammetichus II (594-589 BC) that rises in the beautiful seat of Parliament Square.
